Paint Can Work Decorating Wonders to Update a Dining room

Sometimes all you need is a little paint to update your rooms. This beautiful dining area was seeming a little dark for our clients. All the furniture was high quality and it was still the traditional style that they like. Our solution was to simply have the dark wood dining chairs painted a light soft ivory as well as the bead board back of the hutch. With a few added accessories, it was a whole new lighter look and they are so happy. Before you decide to make any major change to your decor, take a picture and look at what you still like about your room and work backwards. In this case, their desire to have a lighter look was solved with a little paint. This is also a great do it yourself project if you like painting. Another great idea to update a traditional dining room is to replace the traditional chairs with softer upholstered chairs or simply add larger chair to each end. We have saved many a beautiful classic diningrooms with these simply changes.
